See, I liked how difficult the 'roids were for 3. you realise that as they scale up the controls and depth and immserion and stuff, the regular 2d-unstoppable monsters of doom become, well, kind of easy to handle if you can strafe them. that beign said the now-you-see-me-now-you-dont shit felt a little contrived to me, too.

the isolation removal sucked for me. it sucked a lot. It felt like opening a room in SS2 and finding some clowns, and a 3 year olds birthday party, replete with parents standing around pretending to be enthusiastic. Go _away_, Im in _SPACE_ here.

the doors nearly made me batshit. I can understand that you might want to keep certain 'core' parts of the Metroid franchise, but holding onto the retarded necessities of 90s scrollers like using the same damned control to do everything makes about as much sense as rendering the entire fucking game with an 8-colour palette.

I got hold of it through gamefly; after we made the mistake of buying resident evil 4, I want to try everything before I piss $50 up the wall again. It didnt take long to put it back in its envelope with a 'yuck' face. I felt let down, I guess.

Prime 3 was good for sure, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It just didn't stand out enough from the other 2 for me to really be noteworthy, especially in a year that had both Bioshock and Portal to compete with.

I finished it at about 88%, but I'm not going back for anything. Also the friend-token trading thing is ANNOYING.

I hated the original Prime on the GameCube because it was the only video game to ever make me motion sick during normal gameplay. There was something about the control scheme that made the motion just unrealistic enough to be unsettling. I sold it to a used game store two days after I got it after being unable to finish even the opening level.

I enjoyed Metriod Prime: Hunters on the DS, though, and have many fond memories of the original NES version.

man, the isolation element is HUGE. i don't like this whole "other people" thing one bit... also, as irritating as the metroids are, it's EXACTLY like the original, so. you know.

Metroid Prime 3 is friggin awesome.

I really was not a huge fan of the metroid games in general, but playing it on the Wii made the whole experience absolutely amazing, and from that moment on I have been a huge convert.
