You can get objects that allow you to grow fruit/veg etc then sell it, earning money to live on.

Yay, a bad-ass that plays The Sims. Everyone I know is very adamant about the whole 'The Sims is for middle-aged housewives and fags' thing, and now I can tell them to stuff it as someone far more hardcore than them likes it.

Alternatively, take your sim along the path to Rock God. At the highest job level, your sim doesn't have work hours - you work when you want to work by going to the theatre or the stadium and holding a concert.

highly reccommend military career path if you want to spend more time doing and less time working and sleeping : at full whack, Mr Astronaut only works one day a week, leaving the rest free for your vile shenanigans.

I totally just cheat and give my sims thousands of simoleans so that they don't have to do that boring "working" crap. It also definitely helps to have multiple in a household on different sleep schedules so that you always have someone awake to boss around.

One of my favorite sims is evil, neurotic, hot-headed, and mean-spirited. Letting her out into public is dangerous.
